1. If there's a situation where someone gets hurt, like say , if there was some sort of fight in the town and someone was hurt, could someone visiting who had magic that was restricted by the shield use that magic to heal them?
Answer: We have a resident healer called Trinity. If she is in the chat, then she will heal the person. The only way that another chatter who is in can heal a person, is if they use herbs and potions. They cannot use Inner Magic, due to the protective barrier
2. Where do Fa'aes/fae/fairys fit in?
Answer: A Fa'a/fae/fairy even from the old tales, is welcome within HRT. We consider all Fa'as a member of Circle DayBreak, because though they don't look like normal human beings, they aren't restricted to the Night. The magic that comes from nature will be limited (Example, they will be drained of energy and thus cannot perform 'large' magical actions) upon entering HRT until they've been into chat a little while. Unfortunately, it limits their actions, but even fa'aes must go by the same rules as everyone else. All powers, even magically altered from nature, are at a bare minimum until the chatter and character have frequented HRT enough times to prove they will not 'godmod' their characters, and then we do a sort of "immunity" to the protection barier, in which their powers begin to grow.
3.What about a persons own innate healing/regeneration?...Such as shapeshifters, etc.?
Answer: Because healing is a process for a shapeshifter, the protection spell does not render them unable to regenerate. Of course, we ask that people consider a decent (one hour in chat) timeframe before they can magically be 'all better'.
4. Is a character sheet required?
Answer: A character sheet is not Mandatory unless you wish to be a citizen in Hidden Realm of Tranquility, however we strongly urge the use of one. Even if you do not feel like writing an entire CS, at least provide a basic description of name, race, guild and general personality, so that there is a record on the boards that indicate you have been to HRT. This too allows other members to get a general feel for your character, which will make rping with you much easier.
5. Is arriving by a portal allowed?
Answer: It would work here, as we do not have a barier against portals, however I'd like to see you arrive just outside the treeline, instead of suddenly in a room. Just to keep with the fact that we dont want the Mortals to know that such things exist.
6. What happens if someone breaks the Laws of their Guild?
Answer: No matter which Guild you are a part of, the laws are simple. Breaking these laws shows disrespect for the room and the work the chatters within HRT put into building and working with the current storyline. If a chatter/Character breaks these laws, their character will instantly be banned or killed. Then the rp in which they destroyed with breaking these laws will be 'erased'.
7. Why can I not use magic in HRT?
Answer: Magic IS allowed in HRT, in moderation. For example, magical potents, herbs and spells that require ingredients IS allowed in HRT. 'Inner Magic' however is restricted to a bare minimum upon first arriving. HRT is set up with a 'protection barier against magic' around the realm to prevent highpower characters coming in and 'godmodding' their way through life, or death. Therefore, in HRT all characters, no matter their age, or skill, automatically starts at 'beginner' and are able to work their way up with RP within the realm. It is not difficult to work ones way up. Simply frequent HRT and rp honestly. Once the Mods and Admins in HRT have gotten a feel for you and your character, and are confident you will not attempt to 'godmod' your character, they will be happy to lift the effect of the protection barier from your character.
8. I have a 19 level Paladin and he possesses a magical sword, will the sword work in this realm?
Answer: No. All magical items are stripped to their bare beginngers. It will glow but the magic will not be powerful enough to cause any real damage due to HRT's Protection Spell.
9. My vampire is very old and is not harmed by sunlight. Does this mean I can travel during the DayBreak hours?
Answer: No. All vampires are restricted to indoor cover during daylight hours. The protection spell also protects against vampires. Within HRT, vampires no matter their age must succumb to DayDeath.
10. If I have a chara that is a shape shifter and is a human in the daytime, and a *insert something here* at night. Who's rule do I fall under, the Queens or the Master of the City?
Answer: During your mortal form you will fall under the Queens rule, and when you shift you will fall under the Master of the City. You will be a part of NightWorld/DayBreak which means originally, you report to the MotC, but because you are also human, you must also obey by the Queens laws.
11. Can a Vampire feed on a willing mortal?
Answer: No. You can't even NPC feeding from Mortals. Vampires feed on mortals outside of the Tranquility borders. They are also encouraged to feed on animals. And there are always 'meals' provided by the NightWorld tower by providing them with the evildoers held either in the Tower itself, or in the Dungeons. Vampires are not allowed to feed on innocence. It runs the risk of 'outing' themselves if the mortal remembers since Vampires wont have the ability to 'tamper with their memories' until they've been in the room long enough to become a Master Vampire. Once a Vamp chara has been in for four months activly they are allowed to then become full fledged Master Vampires and with that the ability to tamper with the mind of those they feed from. When that happens, they are allowed to feed from any mortal (so long as permission is granted prior to the meal in pm) so long as a) they dont KILL that person, b) they remove any memory of it happening and c) they have to take into account that even a master vampire cannot change EVERYONES memory, only those they feed from, thus they h ave to do so in a manner where others in the same location wont notice it. A vampire can interact with ANYONE, be it nightworld or daybreak. It doesnt restrict your rp in the slightest. A vampire, when interacting with mortals, has to pretend they ARE mortal themselves. Your rp is only restricted when it comes to feedings. There are other rooms that are based where Mortals and Immortals live side by side and know of each others existance. HRT is based on the fact that Mortals do NOT know about the existance of NightWorld. That's the entire theme to the room. Preventing the feeding of a mortal ensures that the character understands how the room reacts and works before taking action. This prevents anyone from creating an instant master vampire and coming into the room and blowing the storyline of NightWorld and DayBreak off the start. As your character progresses in HRT, so does it's abilities. And after four months of feeding off only those available to you, your character becomes strong enough and well known enough to be given the freedom of Master Vampire, in which they then have the ability to feed of any mortal (with that persons permission) so long as they tamper with the memories so that the mortals dont remember and thus are left unaware that vampires exist.
12. What happens to the bodies of those whom Vampires DO feed off of?
Answer: The only time someone is killed during a feeding is if it is part of a punishment from an evildoer whom was already sentenced to death. Most feedings are simply taking a little bit, and not actually killing anyone, hense they must have the ability to tamper with memories as a master vampire before they're permitted to feed from an actual mortal whom is NOT an evildoer. Those evildoers whom are sentenced to death anyways are the only ones allowed to actually be drained to the point of death, and those bodies are left up to the rp. They have the freedom to either dispose of the body themselves in the rp, or leave it behind. Seeing as they were already sentenced to die, DayBreak then has the opportunity to take it how they want, either they can believe it's a divine intervention or gods hand ridding the world of evil.. Or they can simply wonder what twisted mortal is living among them to kill someone so... differently. That's the freedom of those involved in the rp.
13. Just how much sway do the Fae courst have in DayBreak...I was going to have him be of royal blood...not a prince or anything like that...maybe a titled Lord, or Duke...something rather small...
Answer: He can have any title he wishes, but within HRT only Tranquility Royals are addressed by that. visiting royals or royals of other places are not held standard here. There is only one official royal bloodline within Tranquility, and thus that's the only one treated as a royal. By all means, your character can have whatever title he cares for, that will support your character, but keep in mind his title won't get him any special privledges within Tranquility since he is not this realm royal based.
14. Do I have to make a Character Sheet?
Answer: A CS is only required if you wish to become a perminate resident within Tranqulity or if you wish to operate a business. Visitors, travellers and beginning arrivals are not required to have a CS, however should that change and you wish perminate residence, you will be required to fill out one of the two templates located under the CS section of the boards.
15. Could I get assistance with my CS?
Answer: Of course. We often advice those that do fill out the CS to do so to the best of their ability and if they wish help, one of the rooms Mods are always happy to read it over, add some things or adjust some things so it suits the room, and then give the CS creator the chance to see if they wish to accept those suggestions or not. Afraid I do not know too much about the Fae world, seeing as they ARE considered DayBreak and I am simply running the NightWorld portion. However, I'll be happy to help you out should you pose a specific question for me to answer.
Answer: We have a resident healer called Trinity. If she is in the chat, then she will heal the person. The only way that another chatter who is in can heal a person, is if they use herbs and potions. They cannot use Inner Magic, due to the protective barrier
