Pandora
Carmen
(mentioned: Pandora, Carmen, Raistlin, Tathar)
Pandora had just as good as locked herself away in the meeting room of the tower. Though the tower had no guards, and there wasn't any doors attached to the meeting room, merely a stone archway, she considered it locked away. For some reason, it was the only place she actually felt remotely near comfortable now that both Tathar and Raistlin were residing within the tower. Perhaps it was foolish to have released the hold on the guards of the tower. Too late, however, now to fix that.
The tower had been immensly silent these past few days. Raistlin and Tathar both stayed within the Guest Wing, and Pandora pointedly avoided said guestwing. With the tree of them being the only thing's within the Tower, it was no wonder the place seemed deadly silent.
But if all went well enough tonight, thing's would change. Though Pandora didn't have any guards within the Tower any longer, she didn't relish the idea of sleeping with two of the most powerful beings in Tranquility right under this very roof. She had summoned Carmen. The strangly absent lycan that had journeyed to Tranquility quite some time ago. Pandora had been keeping a close eye on the young woman, and thus it was no surprise when she sent forth summons to bring her to the tower.
Now, all she had to do was sit here and wait. With her lovers in the guest wing, it was impossible for Pandora to relax, yet nonetheless, she sat there seemingly completely at ease, the monthly reports scattered in large piles along the surface of the solid oak table that stretched before her. One parchment at a time, Pandora picked up, read, and sorted the parchments in the appropiate piles.
coming down the hallway towards the meeting room the strange little man that came and told her that she was summoned and needed to be seen by the Master of the city she places her cloak around her shoulders moves about the hall just to outside the doorway of the room ..looking at strangely and wondering what happened to the door ..she had heard rumors of Tathar and Rasitlin were locked away in the towerd .wondering why this was she softly tapped on the frame of the door her sword down to her side something that she always carried no matter what or who she was seeing ...
Pandora didn't even bother to glance up. The tower was masked in such silence that the footfalls of the Lycan were easy enough to follow, even if you were not a member of the undead. Even the quiet rustle of parchment as she lowered it back to the table infront of her seemed to echo in the large room.
Pandora rarely addressed people by their names these days. If it was in the tower, she addressed them by race. Outside the tower? Well, she rarely ever ventured out these days thus hadn't had any need to address anyone within the eye of the public. A twisted idea that if she did not call anyone by name, she could keep her distance. Anyone that knew the history or Raistlin or Tathar would know that.
hearing her call he rlycan and not by her name she growled low she hadn't when people did that she may be immortal but dammit she had a name .. the softness of her voice came thru her ears as she called her child she smiled and sat down wondering what this women wanted of her not havig talked to her or anyone as of late she sighed and crossed her legs as she sat the cloak covering them.
Pandora watched as the woman settled into a seat, the smile plastered on her face. She, not for the first time, reconsidered the proposition Pandora was about to offer her. Then again, these days Pandora couldn't rightly afford to be picky. She wanted someone that would do the job, and yet not to the job. It was difficult to explain.
but not wanting to sound or have a big ego she can be a dam good one and is powerful when it comes to the ssword her thoughs going back to the day that she killed someone in her village before she came here just because they got mouthy with her and she was already in a pissy mood that day she lets a low chuckle come out of her mouth
Pandora didn't even aknowledge the fact that Carmen had spoken. Actually, she continued talking as if she hadn't even heard a word the woman said.
Pandora paused, allowing this information to sink in before she continued.
Pandora's eye's sharpened as she watched the woman, clearly indicating she was serious.
rubs her chin for a second and ponders what that meant keeping an on the Master that is a dutiful job not being able to go out during the day and look for week she watches the Master's eyes sharpen she nods
Pandora didn't move. She didn't shift like mortals tended to do, she didn't fidget. She barely seemed to blink. Nothing moved within the old Vampire but her very lips.
not succeed she thought to herself failure is not an option in my book I thought
as i noticed that she did not fidget at all not even the slightest her beauty was breathtaking to say the least nowonder these men fell for her and wanted her to be theres
She was taunting her now, or was she? Did she believe the lycan would be able to stand up to the strongest lycan within Tranquility. The Ulfric? The one who she would have to obey or face banishment from the clans? And what of the Mage. The man whom could kill her without ever revealing himself to her. The most powerful of the black robes ever?
Pandora still did not move. She had no need to. Every evening that passed, Pandora grew more and more distant from the mortal ways in which she had adapted to in order to survive as long as she had. Every evening that passed, she grew more and more harsh. More and more the monster people assumed she was.
chuckles chamber pot some the words people around here use ..Pandora new nothing of what powers she as a lycan held but she will know once she defeats the mage she herself can cloak andbecome invisible she can be outside the door and stand without ever being seen ..thinking of a question she rubs her chin
Pandora quickly calmed herself, and when next she spoke it was in the same quiet yet demanding voice she was previously using.
Not to mention that an Ulfric had the power to control the beast side of Lycans. No lycan could resist the Ulfric in their shifted state. And Raistlin, well, she wouldn't put it past him to be able to find something handy about an animal form.
hearing the loud scream come for her mouth thinking damn this woman has a set of lungs on her but understanding that she will not change she slinks down a little bit like a lycan with her tail between her legs she listens as she talks about the ulfric her mind wonders at the possiblities
Pandora made a gesture with her hand, as if dismissing the Lycan. She knew it was a risk to hire a Lycan to do the job but a mere human would most likely stake her, and a vampire needed rest the same time Pandora did. It was a risk the Master of the City had to take.
standing she covers herself fully witht he cloak and goes back to her chamber and gets some much needed rest before her job in two days starts protecting the Master of the city whoever though she thought smiling carring the sword tightly against her body as she looks for suspious activity already

"Come in, Lycan."
"Now, come on child. Take a seat. I may be a slowticker, but I don't care to diddydaddle."
[/b][/u][/center]hearing her call he rlycan and not by her name she growled low she hadn't when people did that she may be immortal but dammit she had a name .. the softness of her voice came thru her ears as she called her child she smiled and sat down wondering what this women wanted of her not havig talked to her or anyone as of late she sighed and crossed her legs as she sat the cloak covering them.

Then again, these days Pandora couldn't rightly afford to be picky. She wanted someone that would do the job, and yet not to the job. It was difficult to explain.
"Are you aware that the Lycan Tathar Seregon and the Mage Raistlin Majere have returned to my home?"
well Master I had heard something thru out the castle that they are both locked away somewhere in here and You are without a guard that is what i am assuming this all about
but not wanting to sound or have a big ego she can be a dam good one and is powerful when it comes to the ssword her thoughs going back to the day that she killed someone in her village before she came here just because they got mouthy with her and she was already in a pissy mood that day she lets a low chuckle come out of her mouth
Pandora didn't even aknowledge the fact that Carmen had spoken. Actually, she continued talking as if she hadn't even heard a word the woman said.
"They are not locked away within the Tower. They are free to come and go as they please, as they have always been. They are much to powerful for even I to attempt to control them. However, their arrival has left me rather ill at ease. As you can see the tower no longer houses any of the Nightworlders, or guards. They have all been removed from my home, only Tathar, Raistlin and I remain. Both men stay within the guest wing thus far, but I do not expect them to always be content with that. I can handle them, if it comes down to it. However, I must rest when the sun comes up. One cannot defend themselves against something they cannot battle. Neither men is to be trusted. I believe they plan to elimate me, and the easiest way to go about that is to do so during the day, whilst I rest. That is where you come in."
Pandora paused, allowing this information to sink in before she continued.
"You do not have a job, you have no source of income. You will need employment in order to remain within Tranquility in accordance with our laws. Thus, you will arrive within the Tower every morning just before sunrise. You will bring no one with you. You will sit or stand guard at my chamber doors until sunset. You will not venture forward into the room, and you will not make yourself at home."
Pandora's eye's sharpened as she watched the woman, clearly indicating she was serious.
"In return, you will receive a home within the village, and enough coin to sustain a living without partaking in employment during the day. Is that clear?"
rubs her chin for a second and ponders what that meant keeping an on the Master that is a dutiful job not being able to go out during the day and look for week she watches the Master's eyes sharpen she nods
yes that is clear ...will watch your chambers as you sleep sounds easy enough
"Make no mistake, lycan. The job will appear easy. It will lull you into the illusion that every night will be the same. You will grow bored, accustomed. Every day will appear as if it were the same. You will cease to have a life during the daylight hours. They will be spent here, amusing yourself with drawings or reading or whatever it is you can entertain yourself with without leaving your post. Once a week you will have the day off. Not twice. Not three times. Only once. Your evenings will be your own to do what you wish, be it catch up on much needed sleep, or spend it in a more personal manner."
Pandora didn't move. She didn't shift like mortals tended to do, she didn't fidget. She barely seemed to blink. Nothing moved within the old Vampire but her very lips.
"Day after day, until it becomes weary. Boring. Torture. And then, when you have grown comfortable in your certainly that all is 'easy enough' as you put it, my guests will arrive, and you will fail. No, this will not be easy, and I do not expect you to succeed. But what little time you do provide will allow me the slumber I so need."
not succeed she thought to herself failure is not an option in my book I thought
they may come and try but they will not get past me trust me on this I have battled before .
as i noticed that she did not fidget at all not even the slightest her beauty was breathtaking to say the least nowonder these men fell for her and wanted her to be theres
but reassured Pandora they will not get past me
"Yes, yes of course child. You will succeed. How foolish of me to think anything but."
"You will begin two days from now an hour before sunrise. Enjoy your last day of freedom. I suggest you spend the evening catching some much needed sleep. Tomorrow you will enjoy your last day within the sunlight."
Pandora still did not move. She had no need to. Every evening that passed, Pandora grew more and more distant from the mortal ways in which she had adapted to in order to survive as long as she had. Every evening that passed, she grew more and more harsh. More and more the monster people assumed she was.
"You will be required to bring your own breakfast and lunch. There are no kitchen staffs within the tower, nay, there is not even a kitchen. A chamberpot shall be placed just inside my door, should you need to relief yourself. You will, for all intent and purposes, be a statue. Now, if you have any questions, I suggest you ask them now."
chuckles chamber pot some the words people around here use ..Pandora new nothing of what powers she as a lycan held but she will know once she defeats the mage she herself can cloak andbecome invisible she can be outside the door and stand without ever being seen ..thinking of a question she rubs her chin
oh i have not been able to change as of it do you want me to still do that or do you want me to hold off that is the only question that i have for now Pandora
"You WILL NOT Change."
Pandora quickly calmed herself, and when next she spoke it was in the same quiet yet demanding voice she was previously using.
"You are to appear weak. A lycan that does not understand. A new child of the shifting world. Should you change, your strength may very well beat the Mage or the Ulfric in a fair fight, but they will not fight fair. Your shifted form will only hinder things. I perfer you with disposable thumbs and your sword, not some larger beast that will make an easy target."
"Very well."
Pandora made a gesture with her hand, as if dismissing the Lycan. She knew it was a risk to hire a Lycan to do the job but a mere human would most likely stake her, and a vampire needed rest the same time Pandora did. It was a risk the Master of the City had to take.
"That will be all."
standing she covers herself fully witht he cloak and goes back to her chamber and gets some much needed rest before her job in two days starts protecting the Master of the city whoever though she thought smiling carring the sword tightly against her body as she looks for suspious activity already
