*She stood behind the counter, head bent over her mortar, pestel in hand as she crushed some herbs up for a salve she was making. Things had been all too quiet since Andre had been gone and she'd been spending an inordinate amount of time there at the shop. She couldn't stand being at his house without him in it, her own home reminding her of him as well, so she kept to the one place where she could at least lose herself in her work, pushing all thoughts aside and not focusing on any of that.*
*She'd avoided Elspeth and her cronies religiously almost, keeping herself from strangling the blonde heathen. She'd withstood all the insults and wisecracks she could before doing so, keeping her hours odd and sporadic just to avoid the brazen hussy. Finally, Elspeth had given up on searching her out although whenever she would happen upon her, tormenting the good healer was certainly her hobby*
*She sighed heavily and looked at her dwindling supplies on the shelf behind her. She would either have to make a trip into the forest to her garden, the very thought making her wince majorly, both at the thought of breaking her promise to Andre and at the thought of her sorely untended garden.*
*Or make a trip somewhere and buy what she needed. Both thoughts had her scowling fiercely*
*Leaving those thoughts alone, she reached up and brushed back a tear hastily and set back to crushing the herbs in the small bowl in front of her*
*Her father still mad at her, Andre off who knew where, she was quite miserable these days. She would force a smile out in public, keeping her sorrows to herself though, not wishing to give Elspeth and her bunch the satisfaction of knowing how things were going for her*
*Her thoughts getting the better of her, no matter how hard she tried to push them all away, she lost that particular battle and simply sat down on the stool behind her counter and sobbed, having herself a good cry*
*Eventually, she'd cried herself out and fell asleep, her head laying there on the counter*
