H. Portier
Location: The Tower
Time: three hours after sunset
Her eye's snapped open, the only part of her entire body that made any move at all. She had been resting for four solid days. Four days of unmoving, unbreathing, uneating. Four complete days of listening. Oh yes, resting was quite different from DayDeath. When one succumbed to the DayDeath, there were for all intents and purposes, dead. When one rested, however, they were completely aware of their surroundings. They could hear the conversations and noises of the world around them, they could think, plan, and otherwise function without burning energy.
Oh yes, she was completely aware of the Towers events the past four days, and she was not pleased in the slightest.
Rising, almost floating, from her resting place, Pandora's eyes stared directly ahead. She had little need to glance around.
First, she must feed. A quick trip to the Feeding Rooms would fix her thirst. And then... And then she would deal with Tathar and Mathas. Or... Perhaps she should save the thirst for them...
slipping out of her slumbers she notices she is in a different place then inn oh yes Mathas that mingy human brought to the tower of the village to get a cloak looking over at the chair she places the cloak around and pushes the door opens and looks down the hall trying to decide which she go if she should wait for someone to guide her in the right direction....tapping her finger on her chin she hears firststep comming up the long hallway she stumbles back into the guest quarters closing the softly shut that the person doesn't see or hear her she remains utterly still
The drop from the upper level of the Tower was easy enough, and within no time at all, she was nodding briskly to the attending guards to the Feeding Rooms, before disappearing within.
Luckily, Pandora didn't have to feed on any of the purchased livestock there. Oh no, she was Master of the City. She did not eat Bambi.
Instead, she briskly strolled past all these rooms and towards the furthest room available only for her. Inside, she would wait until the guards brought her a fresher meal. A mortal meal. The wait didn't take long at all, and when Pandora was left alone in the small room with an evildoer brought specifically to her from the Dungeons, the feast began.
When she finally did emerge, her skin was noticably different. More flushed and not so sunken and ashen. There wasn't a single trace of blood to be seen. The maids would not find any in the room where the dried corpse lay either. Her footsteps were silent, not from the vampiric ability at all, but merely from the slippers upon her feet, and she crossed the Feeding Room once more.
Onward to the Meeting Room.
Settling herself into her usual chair, Pandora then folded her bare hands in her lap. Now, we wait.
slowly opening the door its creaking sound loud enough to the wake the she steps out and looks down the long hallway scared to death of what she will come in contact with as she moves down the hall" moving quietly and quickly she makes no sound and heads towards the meeting room looking straight head she just about trips over one of the guards having her cloak around her bright eyes are the only thing that the guard sees she moves quickly around him and practically runs down the hall to the meeting room....'wondering if the Master of the City in there yet she pushes the door open and gulps when she sees the beautiful woman sitting behind the table
His rest the previous evening's events had left him quite refreshed...rejuvinated, even...But he knew that even though he had acted in a manner to protect himself on pure instinct, he was likely to face retribution most grave for his transgression...But he was willing to accept that. After all, it had been oh so very fulfilling to put that snivelling worm Mathas in his place like that, as well as prove that he was far above him on the food chain, so to speak. He had been in the library continuing his research on the one particular subject, albeit completely fruitless research, when he had heard the sound of movement as she had come flying down from their quarters....Taking it upon himself to get ready for the fun to come he stayed within for a while until he was sure he was mentally prepared enough to cope and he made the much shorter drop down, landing with knees bent. He straightened himself and cleared his throat, casually walking through William's room and giving him a slight nod in greeting as he made his way to the meeting room, where he would lean idly against the wall there just inside. Incidentally enough it would seem that he had arrived just behind the new lycan from last eve...Mayhaps Pandora would spare him until she was quite finished and left...At least then they could have a little privacy for the matter.
Her eye's followed first the new Lycan whom had stood by to bare witness to Tathar and Mathas' little fun, and then Tathar himself when he followed closely behind. Inwardly, she wanted to arch her eyebrows. Two lycans, both of opposite sex arrive at perscisely the same time?...
She, however, kept herself in check, and remained expressionless. Unmoving. Once she watched the female Lycan enter, and then Tathar, her eye's returned to the doorway, which just so happened to have been located directly across from her own chair. Initially, she was simply staring directly ahead.
A moment of silence passed between the three of them. And then another. And another. They ticked by, without Pandora so much as moving an inch. She didn't speak, she didn't blink, and she didn't breath.
Finally, her lips parted, and she began to speak. It was the only movement that came from her, for even her eye's didn't glance to either of them again.
eyes widen in fear as You spoke jumping out of her skin she looks to other lycan that was like her and then back to Master of the City.....gulps and says no shaking her head quickly
He watched as she watched...and they all watched for quite a while. So long that it felt like their own miniature version of eternity. Though, admittedly, he would not mind such...After all, he had a companion that would live forever providing none decided to try and take her head, and that was highly unlikely since he was more or less privy to every sound within the Tower's confines...Though the sounds did tend to bounce around an awful lot...But that was easy enough to deal with in itself. He would still be aware of something out of place...But that train of thought was neither here nor there...And as she spoke to break the silence it was...sudden...out of the blue...and his attention snapped from the walls to her unmoving form. Why, he very nearly started to believe that she thought that he and the new lycan had taken a liking to eachother. The thought forced a smirk to his lips, and he very nearly burst out laughing as Carmen spoke aloud his suspicions. At least she had covered that venue, so he had to deal with the other...the main reason he had come down from the library...His actions the eve prior with Mathas...Namely, his involuntary shift...Though the fact that he had choked Mathas into submission would likely come into play as well, and while he had been hoping that she would have waited until they were quite alone to discuss it, it would appear that it was not going to happen that way, so he straightened himself up after pushing himself from the wall with a slight nudge of his shoulder.
Her eye's finally shifted from the archway to rest on the female Lycan. Both eyebrows arched, and Pandora's head tilted ever so slightly, as she listened to the woman blubber protests against the notion that something had gone on between the two lycans. She waited, until the woman had stopped panicing, before she spoke again, icy blue eye's on her.
Her eye's remained on the female until Tathar's voice spoke up, then they slid over to him, equally as icy. Her eyebrows remained arched, and though her gaze shifted, her head still posed at a slight tilt.
At her last comment, Pandora's expression relaxed back to it's unreadable and empty look. She straightened her head, her chin tilted upward everso slightly so that even giving her lower position in the chair compared to their standing, she still managed to look down at them, from the tip of her nose at least.
Staring at Tathar for a moment, Pandora once again allowed a moment of silence to pass, and then she slid equally uncaring eyes to the female Lycan, remaining silent.
shaking uncontrollably as she moves back tot he the archway entrance she stands silently too scared to say anything ........actually wishing that Mathas had been here but him the stupid human that he is just shakes my head....looks up and catches the gaze of the Master of the City staring at her not too sure of what to say or do but go quickly down on one knee and looks directly at her greeetings
Well, at the very least she appeared to not worry about a possible relationship between him and the other lycan, so that was a plus, be it a miniscule one at best. He watched as her gaze moved from her over to himself, and he met it with his own...Clearly she did not know that her "pet" had been wearing a garment of silver mail...And the fact that Mathas had launched himself at him of his own accord. If he was wrong to defend himself as such, even if he had accidentally gone to extremes doing so, then he would admit guilt and take full responsibility for his actions. But in his view he had only done what was necessary to ensure his own survival. Wasn't it enough that Mathas still lived? And with nothing more than perhaps a bruised chest and sore throat? After all, he could have easily tightened his grip as he had wanted to...He could have killed him so very easily...But he hadn't. No, he had shown restraint and merely rendered the man immobile and docile. He believed he should be shown some form of commendation for showing that much restraint toward one who it was obvious that he hated above all else...He watched out of the corner of his eye as Carmen kneeled down and annouced her name to pandora, waiting politely until she was finished before speaking his own views and beliefs on the situation.
A flick of her hand indicated her command for Tathar to stop with his story. She knew perfectly well what took place, and didn't care to listen to it again. Her eyes were on Carmen.
Two words that could have very well answered either one of their comments. Pandora made no attempt to indicate which one. Instead, she allowed her gaze to travel from the female lycan's face, downward until her view rested on the floor the woman was knelt on, and then back up again.
Saying nothing, she then turned her eye's to Tathar and did the same thing. Her hands remained folded in her lap beneath the surface of the table. Her lips remained gently pressed together, and her expression remained slack.
Another question that could have very well addressed the both of them. Infact, it did. So the females name was Carmen.... And... what?
Tathar thought he reacted commendably shifting in her home, afterall it was for his own protection, or so he claimed... And?
Her eye's once more drifted between the two to stare out the archway that led both into and out of the Meeting Room itself.
not knowing what to do or say she just remains quiet for the remainder of the time in the Meeting room but then decides to speak
While he did not particularly like to be dismissed in such a way he took the hint and became quiet...almost stoic as he resumed his lean against the wall. She was still the Master of the City, after all, and he would show her the respect due...at least around others. Perhaps when they were alone once more he would manage to coax a real discussion on the matter...but as she spoke once more, a leading statement that very well could have addressed either of them and their respective words he began to think that he would nay get to wait that long yet again...And he decided it best to answer accordingly, as well as be as truthful about it as he possibly could be...But only after Carmen had said her piece, and so he waited and listened as she recanted her reason for being here, a slight frown coming over his features at the mention of Mathas, but he would remain silent on that topic for now...Perhaps he would wait to finish his explanation after all. He did not feel like having two entirely different conversations running st the same time...It might very well confuse the newcomer who he had not yet had the chance to explain the laws to.
Her gaze returned to Carmen when spoke, and the tightening line of her lips was the only change in her expression. It lasted but a brief moment, before she pasted on a pleasant looking smile.
The smile on her face vanished before she continued.
With another flick of her wrist, Pandora indicated Tathar standing over there against the wall silently.
Her gaze remained on Carmen, even after she spoke. Pandora had no need to glance to Tathar to see how these words would be taken.
He glanced away to admore the stonework of the walls for a bit as the speech started the way it normally did before having his attention ripped from them and back to Pandora, a single brow raising at her words. Had he known she was going to act this way he very well would have remained within the library for the evening. He harbored no real attempt to break the rules...He had only done so twice now, the first time to save William from certain death from waking Pandora during the daylight hours, and the second in defense of his own life. He had noble intentions, but it seemed that either way he went he was doomed to suffer her wrath and punishment at every turn. No doubt he would pay dearly for it later if they got the opportunity to speak privately, too. He sighed heavily, shoulders sagging as he did so...He did not want her position...He thought he had already explained that to her well enough...Of course when he had first arrived within these lands he had nursed the musings of what it would be like to become the Master of the City, but what NightWorlder did not? As he spent more and more time within the Tower, watching her do her duties, he did not envy her responsibilities in the least, and while he had a good understanding of the laws surely she realized that it was nothing compared to her own understanding and experience with them. But in any case he turned to Carmen to wait and see if she had any questions.
She remained expressionless when Tathar's attention was shocked b ack towards her, and even as Carmen spoke again. When the two of them were silent once more, Carmen watching her, and Tathar watching Carmen, Pandora then rose to her feet.
Stepping from the table, she then replaced the chair into the table where it rightfully belonged, and took a single step towards the archway of the Meeting Room before she paused.
Her eye's were on Tathar, thus indicating she was addressing the male lycan rather then the female.
And with that, Pandora began walking again. She first strolled past Tathar where he leaned against the wall, and then brushed past Carmen whom seemed to huddle in the archway. Her voice drifted back over her shoulder, as her back now to them.
And with that being said, she continued down the hallway until she reached Williams Room.
She awaited until she had her cloak slipped snuggly around her shoulders, clearly not the NightWorld cloak for this one was a deepest darkened blue rather then the traditional green, and then waited still as William disengaged the lock on the door and opened it for her.
With her back to the Castle, Pandora set out, a free agent, in so many words.

"That is all I am here for."
With another flick of her wrist, Pandora indicated Tathar standing over there against the wall silently.
"He seems confident enough to break my laws, and thus he must be equally certain that he is ready to be the Master of this City. He apparently can do a better job. Your questions, thus, can be addressed to him. Clearly he knows better then I."
Her gaze remained on Carmen, even after she spoke. Pandora had no need to glance to Tathar to see how these words would be taken.
Yes Yes Master but but Mathas said that you might be able to me
and then I look to the other lycan and then back to the Master only wanting to know how she became this way and why she is this way a tear slides down my cheek Mathas when i get my hands on you ....You mingy evil lil human
mumbling that in my brain " Yes Master this one understands "
and she is sorry that she came here and bothered you He glanced away to admore the stonework of the walls for a bit as the speech started the way it normally did before having his attention ripped from them and back to Pandora, a single brow raising at her words. "Oh, and Lycan."
Her eye's were on Tathar, thus indicating she was addressing the male lycan rather then the female.
"Since you are so fond of taking matters into your own hands, see to it that you continue to do so until after the next Moon Phase. There are many duties that will need attending to, and I expect you will complete them in a manner befitting of the Master of the City."
And with that, Pandora began walking again. She first strolled past Tathar where he leaned against the wall, and then brushed past Carmen whom seemed to huddle in the archway. Her voice drifted back over her shoulder, as her back now to them.
"Blessed be, Lycan. Master."
And with that being said, she continued down the hallway until she reached Williams Room.
"I shall be going out, William. Do fetch my blue cloak. Sire Seregon shall attend to my duties until further noticed."
She awaited until she had her cloak slipped snuggly around her shoulders, clearly not the NightWorld cloak for this one was a deepest darkened blue rather then the traditional green, and then waited still as William disengaged the lock on the door and opened it for her.
