-She had journeyed for so long in search of what she could never find. Bits and pieces...Even some remains that lead her onward telling her where her friend had scattered off to. Everytime she slept she had those dreams. Her cloudy blues scanned over the image before her. The trees were so thick. What were they hiding. Tucking her cloak around her a little tighter she carried on.
Moving through the small opening to the forest she had come upon she found several paths. Lifting a slimmed eyebrow she studied the paths. Her hair weaved in the winds caress. She had not an idea what she was in for here. But she had high hopes to find her.
He was here once again, today, but wasn't really working on anything other than minding the shop portion of his business....No, he sat here with a pen and brainstormed, eyes clouded, showing he was obviously deep in thought. His mind was busily working on a new design for the commissioned dagger, and he didn't plan to disappoint. She wanted a new one, she'd get it, and it would be good enough to no doubt silence her criticism and mockery for at least a moment, and that in itself would be a victory in his eyes....Oh yes, he was feeling much more like his usual and moody self, and it showed, today.
She felt a strong will as she turned towards a path that seemed to the naked eye to go on and on into a thickened forest. Protected. Perhaps a barrier. Her years had brought her to be wise..stealthy. Lookin around her for any one else who might want to follow her. She satisfied herself. Her long fingernails traced a small circle. Then lifting her orbs upward the path before her lit up just a few steps ahead. Smiling at the reassurance that her thoughts had been correct she pulled her cloak up and over her tendrels. Holding her belongings close to her. a cross necklace, the backside had been slightly decorated. It was all she had that kept her feet moving. It was her job to find her friend. Things were happening about the place. Weaving on through the trees she stumbled upon what it was she had been feeling. Before her spread a small village. The streets were lined with decadent cottages and buildings. Her eyes scanned everything.
He crumpled the piece of parchment he'd been sketching on and tossed it over to the dead and cold coals, starting anew on a fresh sheet. He had the handle design down exactly the way he wanted, but the blade was proving to be a challenge...She wanted it made to be intimidating...And to intimidate, it had to look savage and primal, but it was hard to convey those things down exactly in a form that would do them justice, while at the same time getting them to flow together...He had an idea of how he wanted it to look, but there were many small details that were proving to be annoying, such as weight or thickness.
-Passing rows of shops, none of them seemed to draw her in. She stepped lightly the sound of her boots clicking against the stone walkways. Stepping up to the weapons store. Her faint rose lips twisted into a light smile. Her cloudy orbs moved over the windows and the door. Stepping up she opened it and slid her form inside, letting the door close behind her. She walked around. Lookin' at weilded blades and chosen pieces of armor that she was sure some believed would save their lives. She let out a soft chuckle. She trusted none other but her kris'. Even if their blades could do with another sharpening and silver dip..Her orbs then settled on looking for the blacksmith himself. This town made her feel different. She was pretty sure why. But none-the-less she would continue.-
He made small and light strokes across the paper, ensuring that he could capture the most minute detail while still leaving plenty of room for improvement. He never made bold lines unless he either couldn't help it, or he was definite that they were part of what he was definitely going to do, and while he was liking the design beginning to appear, flowing from his pen ever so slowly, he was still going to be cautious...Though, upon the sound of someone entering his shop his gaze slowly rose from it, watching the woman for a moment before speaking, his voice deep and smooth, tinged with a great many accents all meshing together
"How can I help you this evening?"
She ran fingers through a lock of onyx hair that had fell down to caress her face. Lifting her eyes to him, her long lashes played against her cheeks. Slowly parting her full lips into a strong smile she eyed him and said nothing. Straightening her back she placed her hands together. Neatly folding her fingers together. Her gaze then shifted from him to the parchment, causing her to squint a little and then back to the handsome man who weilded such... beautiful items... Her mind wanted her to snicker, but her lips said she was enjoying the sight she seen. Still saying nothing she tipped her head to the side.
" Tell me, can you.. Perhaps send me to a meeting with Pandora..later this eve?"
-She watched his features fulled. Her eyes soft and welcoming.
He looked to her once again, gaze rising from the cruelly hooked part of the blade he had been adding to the parchment, form reclining back a bit, staying silent for a few moments...He wasn't really sure as to whether or not Pandora would allow this, or how she would take to his bringing yet another person into the Tower who had not been invited. But, she already had another meeting tonight...decisions decisions...
"May I ask what the purpose of this meeting entails?"
-Her slender brow once again slid upward as she gazed at him and didn't waiver. She spoke calmly and cooly.
" I do not believe, what her and I have to discuss is any of your concern. I ask, nay, Demand, that you Take me to her..."
She trailed off on a light note, Her orbs glittering with authority. She had heard rumor upon rumor, and her instincts had lead her here. To this shop. Going on nothin' but what her mind and heart had spoken. She tipped her head back upright and leaned against the counter, her chest resting upon it and her body relaxing as if a heavy burden haad been lifted from it. her cloak draped about her but it gaped a little exposing a view of a volumptious cleavage that seemed to entice. Her hair fell over her right shoulder and her demeanor didn't waiver.
Her "demand" almost made him laugh....It was funny to see a simple creature as this demand anything of him, and he rose from his seated position, glowering down at her, arms crossing about his chest. He was, by no means, a small man, standing well over six feet in height, and with a build to match that easily told of a lifetime of hard and manual labor...Her body's features held no appeal to him, save for one...She would probably make a good meal. A bit stringy, but with enough chewing he could stomach that...But he mentally shook the thought away...He had to abide by the laws, after all, lest he lose yet another place to live, and he wasn't very keen on that happening, so he tried to keep his reply as polite as possible given the circumstances, though his voice showed a little strain at keeping civil
"You come into my place of business, ask me such a foolish thing, and then demand the very same? You are beginning to tread on very thin ice, woman."
She didn't move, just shifted to stare up into his eyes. Her chest sucked in as she breathed deeply. Her orbs glittering more and more as he spoke. As he finished his tempertantrum she spoke again.
" It would not bid thee well, if you chose to work against me.."
-She twisted her lips upward into a taunting smile. She wouldn't back down from anyone and he was no different. With him standing closer, she had gotten the smell of him inflared in her nostrels. Drawing up a lip a little she eyed him. Glorious. She had been right on the dot.
"...I know of what you can become.. I'm not afraid to be a dinner that would prove to be your last...be warned.."
She would calm herself, for she had caused her fury side to slowly start to build.
"Take me to see her, and you will come to no harm. Even if it would be fun to..."
-She trailed off again. Oh yes, quite the handsome one she had found. He would make for an excellent toy...Her orbs had a strange glow that quickly waivered. a Sadistic smile took over her features.
He sneered...or....it would look like a sneer, lips rising over his teeth like that....When, in fact, he was doing his best to keep from answering those urges to shift and end this little argument so he could get back to his work. His muscles were tensing, too, and visibly so. The shop was small, affording just a little more maneuvering room than the cages at the Tower, so he had that advantage on his side, not to mention a shop full of weapons that were still as sharp as razors since they'd never been used, as well as the fact that his personal weapon was well within reach. In the blink of an eye, or nearly so, his form would vanish from the position he had been standing in, the corner of the parchment he had been drawing on wafting slightly from the surface of the counter, appearing just as fast behind her, arms still crossed and a wickedly cruel grin on his face. The door was closed, as were the windows, so he had no worry of the humans seeing him move as he really could
"Me come to harm...? I would relish it...Pain is life letting us know that we are not yet dead, after all. Now, if you wish for me to schedule an appointment for you, I will need to know the reason. I'll not disturb her needlessly, for my own sake. And be quick about it...My patience grows thin, and my appetite grows large."
He was pushing her buttons the wrong way. She wouldn't relish him in the delight of overpowering her, so upon seeing him sneer. Her skin prickled up. Her eyes stared right into his, they slowly rolled revealing blood red orbs. Then waivered normal. Her lips pressed into a thin line she lifted her hand and held the cross between them, dangling it right infront of his face. She could feel his power, and hers was about to boil over. She had enough with childish games, of who needed to know everything..Her teeth ground together as she spoke.
" I do not wish to confide to you what I have, nor do I think you wish Pandora's wrath...So pardon me for concidering you to understand dark business... Lycan.."
It was ground. In her mind she counted the number of steps she had taken into this establishment. The percise movements she would have to make to escape should she have goided him a little too much.
" I'll find her myself, I was just hoping for an escort..so the rest of our kind would know I came with no calls for danger.."
It was all in a hushed manor. But it was rough. She had meant everyword.
"What will it be..?"
Her eyes, while different, were of no concern to him...That slight red shift possible through many means, and the cross...He chuckled, quite loud in fact, and leaned close...Unlike vampires, crosses held no sway over him...and the thought made him consider something...A kind of practical joke, so to speak...What would Pandora do if he placed several dozen of them around the area she landed when she descended from her quarters? He pushed the thought away...They were only barely still in favor with eachother, and it was much too soon to test it again with something so trivial and childish
"Dark business it may be, but I have suffered enough of her wrath for doing very nearly what you are requesting right now. You will understand my need to be cautious. And it is not wise to Demand and Threaten one whom you wish to be your escort, for that itself almost begs for danger...Now, I will consider it if you apologize."
That was it...He didn't require much, but shifters were notoriously stubborn, and an apology would no doubt either make or break this encounter....He was being serious, of course...He felt he deserved one. She had come into his place of business and threatened him, after all
She raised a brow. She had just kept the cross there, she knew it would do nothing.. but she then turned the cross over..and lifted it...The back of it was tainted by blood..and something that looked like burnt skin. She held it for him to identify Pandora's scent. Her brows diving into a frown. As he finish his lecture. She took just a step back, fearing she had come to the wrong one.
"I do not appologize to just anyone. I nay feel the need to give you one. Just because your descions prior to me have lead you to punishments."
she would not apologize for his mistakes with others, she wasn't entirely that rude. She felt no need for stepping down to him.
"..And so what if my demand lead you to try something upon the escort....I'm nay afraid. Once Pandora hears of this, you'll still be punished. "
She laughed then merrily. As she knew all to well what she would do to him...she had seen Pandie in action before.
"..I can understand your fear...I wouldn't treat you that way..."
She eyed him again..smile returning to her lips.
" You're too talented and fearful to harm too much.."
She would laugh again, this time loud enough to annoy anyone
That was a last straw, so to speak, and he flexed his hands into fists, the calloused skin there turning white with the strain. Small crackling and popping sounds would start to come from his form...It was all he could do to keep from shifting at this point...Did she honestly think he feared her? If so she was going to be highly disappointed...The blood and burned skin telling him nothing more than she had at one point had an encounter with the vampire, and nothing more
"I respect her, not fear her....Ask her yourself...I am cautious, lest she and I have another episode like last time...Get her to show you her wrist some time...Now get out of my shop, pup..."
Yes...He knew of the scar he had left on Pandora's form, the only marring mark that she had as far as he knew...At least until he'd seen the cross...It would appear that she had another, now...His patience was thinning greatly by this point, the way she talked down to him as if she were his better infuriated him, the small sounds escaping his form increasing in volume as his body tried to shift, but he kept it in check under power of sheer will alone...He didn't doubt that he would see her again tonight...He had to go to the Tower as well...
Leave his shop, she laughed again. She knew she had her fill of fun. Smiling to him warmly.
" Ok handsome..I'll go.. and I'll see you later on this eve.. "
She had alot to do before then, turning from him halfly. She looked back to him. Blowing an obnoxious kiss.
" Perhaps..you'd like a lesson sometime.. on how to be respectful of someone's duties...And I've no doubt you respect Pandora.. I do as well. She has taught me my fair share of lessons.. "
blankly sliding a hand over her shoulder where she was nearly bit before...she didnt waiver. She looked proud.
" Be warned, my pet, this won't make things easier on you.. I'm probably one of the few she would...rather..play with.."
Pandora wasn't the type to enjoy anyone but rather tolerate. But business was business.
He ignored her at this point, waiting until she had left before turning and sending his fist through the smaller and bare table he used for the manufacting of arrowheads, shattering it into two pieces....Oh how he wanted to pop that one's skull between his hands...But that would have to wait...For now, he needed to calm himself and get ready, settling down once more to finish the sketch
